Gallia County

PROJECT UPDATE: ODOT 210603 – GALLIA COUNTY
The concrete patching of the bridge superstructure is ongoing. Most of the vertical patching on the through girders has been completed, with the remaining vertical patches to be completed over the next 2 weeks. The end floor beams have been removed, and the new ones will be poured in the next 2 weeks. Removal and replacement of the bridge deck will begin soon. Crew consists of Jeff McGuire, Jeremy McGuire, Brenton McGuire, Jordan Sullivan and Lee Sullivan; Project Manager, Mike Killilea. Summer ’23.

Urbana Booster Stations

PROJECT START: URBANA BOOSTER STATIONS
Project Manager, Nick Miller, has started a new project with the City of Urbana working on two Booster Stations. The project will consist of the installation of two new prepackage booster stations and associated waterline work. Currently Tom Ison — Superintendent, Crew members — Shawn Ison, Josh Priest, and Brayden Ison, are working on the installation of the 12″ DIP line at the Children’s Home site. Spring ’23.

Moeller Hall Foundation Repair

PROJECT START: Moeller Hall Foundation Repair
The Righter Company has been busy working on foundation repairs up at Columbus State Community College Delaware Campus. Work includes underpinning the existing foundation and installation of resistance piers. The foreman on the project is Butch Sullivan and crew consists of Ben Sullivan, Kaiden Weaks, JC Durham, and Damien Strawser. Project Manager for the project is Jacobi Schmalenberger. Spring ’23.

Greene County Pump Stations

PROJECT UPDATE: GREENE COUNTY PUMP STATIONS
The Righter Company’s, Nick Miller, working along with Greene County for Greene County Pump Stations – Grange Hall and Indian Ripple. Recently the concrete pour at Indian Ripple has been completed. This is the building pad for the new booster station that will be installed later this year. The crew consists of Superintendent, Tom Ison, and Crew Members, Shawn Ison, Brayden Ison, Josh Priest, and Matt Mitchell. Spring ’23.

Champions Bridge Replacement & Alum Creek Bank Stabilization

PROJECT START: CHAMPIONS BRIDGE REPLACEMENT & ALUM CREEK BANK STABILIZATION
The Righter Company’s, Chris Thompson, is working closely with The City of Columbus for a project at Champions Golf Course. The project consists of removing and replacing the superstructure of an existing pedestrian bridge and stabilization of an eroded stream bank. These photos show the bridge closure being set up and the installation of the causeway. The crew consists of, Mark Litter as Foreman, and crew members Robert Ward, Pete Litter and Ben Sullivan, Jr. Spring ’23.

The bridge substructure concrete has been completed, and both abutments have been backfilled up to grade. The superstructure concrete patching work is ongoing. Foreman, Jeff McGuire, and crew consisting of Dannie Wilson, Jeremy McGuire, Ben Sullivan, Jordan Sullivan, Brenton McGuire, JC Durham, Lee Sullivan, Kaiden Weaks, Damian Strawser, are doing a great job on the rehabilitation of this historical bridge. Spring ’23.

Athens Salt Storage Slab Replacement

PROJECT UPDATE: ATHENS SALT STORAGE SLAB REPLACEMENT
Project Manager, Chris Thompson has been working closely with The City of Athens for the replacement of the Roof on the Salt Pit at the Athens WTP. On March 1st several Righter Company field employee’s came together to begin a phase of the roof pour. O.P. Chaney Grain Elevator

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: O.P. CHANEY GRAIN ELEVATOR
The Righter Company, Inc. has been contracted by Canal Winchester Area Historical Society to complete the stabilization of the foundations, renovations of heavy timbers, and roofing out at O.P. Chaney Grain Elevator in Canal Winchester, Ohio. Some of the work includes tuck-pointing and rebuilding parts of the sandstone foundation, pouring additional piers within the building, and replacing timber posts as seen in the picture. Jacobi Schmalenberger is the project manager while Brandon Lowery is the onsite foreman with help from crew that consists of Randy Altman, Jordan Sullivan, Rob Richmond, and Kaiden Weaks. Spring 23′.
