Cherry Bottom Road Stabilization

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: CHERRY BOTTOM ROAD STABILIZATION

The Righter Company worked closely with The City of Gahanna to quickly get Cherry Bottom Road Stabilization completed. During this project two separate sites along the west side of the road were repaired by installing sheet piling to prevent more erosion from taking place. On the project we had Project Manager- Chris Thompson, Project Foreman – Dwayne McVey, Laborer/Operators – Ben Sullivan, Butch Sullivan and Kaiden Weaks.

50 E. 7th Ave – Shoring

  

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: 50 E. 7TH AVE – SHORING
 
Chris Thompson of The Righter Company has been working closely with Layton Services on 50 E. 7th Ave. We completed the construction of a design/build shoring system using soldier piles and hardwood lagging. This earth retainage system was needed for the construction of a new apartment complex that will be completed by the GC – Layton Services. The crew consisted of Project Supervisor – Mark Litter, and Laborers – Pete Litter, Robert Ward and Matt Mitchell.

Lynchburg Covered Bridge

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: LYNCHBURG COVERED BRIDGE

The Righter Company, Inc. has recently completed the truss rehabilitation of the Lynchburg covered bridge. The original bridge was completed in 1870 and rehabilitated in 2005. The Righter Company has been working closely with the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Village of Lynchburg to remove and replace damaged members, salvage existing members as much as possible, all while using authentic original construction methods. Brandon Lowery is the onsite foreman with a crew that consists of Jordan Sullivan, Rob Richmond, JC Durham, and Randy Altman. Mike Killilea is the project manager and Jacobi Schmalenberger is the assistant project manager for the job.

CSO 1029 Modifications – Lancaster

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: CSO 1029 MODIFICATIONS

The Righter Company is continuing to move forward with CSO 1029 Modifications in Lancaster. Pictured here is Project Superintendent – Tom Ison and Laborers – Josh Priest, and Brayden Ison, and Operator – Shawn Ison. Jacobi Schmalenberger is the Assistant Project Manager. They are pouring the concrete walls and the weir (a barrier across the width of the structure that will assist during overflow events) of the new CSO Structure 1029.

Historic Oldtown Shoring

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: HISTORIC OLDTOWN SHORING
 
The Righter Company was subcontracted by WAI Construction Group LLC for Historic Oldtown in Greene County, OH. The Righter Company performed work installing lagging for the earth retention system. This is part of a project for a new interpretive center that will showcase and highlight the Shawnee Tribal partners and the culture as a whole. Project Manager – Chris Thompson, Project Supervisor – Mark Litter, Operator – Ben Sullivan Jr. and Laborer – Pete Litter.

Alum Creek Trail – Johnstown Road

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: ALUM CREEK TRAIL – JOHNSTOWN ROAD
The Righter Company’s Project Manager, Chris Thompson, has been working closely with The City of Columbus on Alum Creek Trail. This project consisted of constructing a shared use path, dedicated bike lanes along Johnstown Road, and bike boulevards on Parkview Boulevard and 10th Avenue for a project length of 1.3 miles. The Righter Company also modified the existing shared use path bridge over Alum Creek. Recently Righter has completed the final punch list and walkthrough. Thank you to all of our field staff who were a part of the process for this project, great job guys!

ODOT 21-0603 – Gallia County

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT: ODOT 21-0603 GALLIA COUNTY

ODOT 21-0603 has the rear abutment cofferdam installed, and the piling had been driven.  The rear abutment was poured on 8/23/22.  The crew consists of Dan Wilson, Clay Slevin, Jeremy McGuire, Lee Sullivan, and Foreman Jeff McGuire. Progress is continuously being made and we are proud of the guys, keep up the good work!
