Project Spotlight: ODOT 190367 – Franklin County

We like challenging projects and working in and along the Scioto River is always a challenge! This one is a reinforcement/repair of the existing outlet headwall of a 60” storm sewer passing beneath CSX railroad tracks to the west of the I-670 bridge over the Scioto River.  The project includes supporting the existing failing headwall with tieback anchors and micro piles.  Shoring beneath the headwall is a soil nail and shotcrete wall.  A permanent wall will be cast at the face of the old headwall, and then rock channel protection will be installed for scour protection.  Jerry McVey, Jeff McGuire, Dannie Wilson, John Fuller, Marvin Kemmerer, and Jordan Sullivan have been working on the project.  Mike Killilea is the Project Manager.
