Buckeye Chuck and Punxsutawney Phil Are In Agreement!

Pictured:  Buckeye Chuck

Sigh…Six more weeks of winter is what they predict.  Both have been wrong before so there IS hope!!!  Read on…

“The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration lists Groundhog Day predictions since 1988. Only six of Phil’s last 30 predictions were correct, the NOAA reported.  That’s a 20 percent accuracy rate.  Last year Ohio’s own Buckeye Chuck also saw his shadow and predicted more winter. Here in Cincinnati temperatures for February and March stayed above average. But if you are going to pick a groundhog prognosticator, you may want to be a homer. Since 2006, Ohio’s own Buckeye Chuck has been twice as accurate as Phil, with six correct predictions to Phil’s three.”  — Source:  WLWT5 (www.wlwt.com)

Righter Celebrates the Upcoming Holidays and a Retirement! A Video Tribute, too!

On Friday, December 8, 2017, employees of The Righter Company, and some of their family members and guests, joined together in the shop area for Der Dutchman food (and pies!!!), fellowship, games and service awards.  This year, we also celebrated the upcoming retirement of one of our longtime employees, Richard Fink.  His total time of service to the company is just over 30 years.  Richard has worked as a Carpenter, Foreman and, in recent years, as a Field Supervisor.  His last project with Righter was Kingston Water System Improvements, which consisted of installing replacement chemical feed equipment, minor piping/metering improvements/electrical and control improvements and installation of standby power facilities at the existing village WTP and wellfield.

We wish Richard much relaxation and happiness in the years to come!

Watch the video tribute to our hard-working field employees!
