Champions Bridge Replacement & Bank Stabilization

PROJECT UPDATE: CHAMPIONS BRIDGE REPLACEMENT

The Champions Bridge opened to pedestrian traffic beginning on the afternoon of 9/28/23. The Alum Creek Streambank Restoration portion of the project is progressing nicely. The crew consisting of Robert Ward, Justin Adams, Pete Litter, Matt Mitchell, Damian Strawser, and Foreman Mark Litter have been doing a great job on this project. Keep up the great work! Fall ’23.

Historic Bridge Award for the Rehabilitation of the Lynchburg Covered Bridge

The Righter Company received a Historic Bridge Award for the Rehabilitation of the Lynchburg Covered Bridge.

O.P. Chaney Grain Elevator

PROJECT COMPLETION: O.P. CHANEY GRAIN ELEVATOR

The historic grain elevator in Canal Winchester, OH recently finished up the roofing portion of work. The previous roof was installed in the 1960’s and needed a replacement. Righter Company teamed up with Accurate Roofing, Inc. to give the building a new standing seam metal roof. Brandon Lowery is the project foreman and Jacobi Schmalenberger is the project manager. Gallia County

PROJECT UPDATE: GALLIA COUNTY

The first phase of the deck pour has been completed. The crew for the bridge consists of Foreman – Jeff McGuire, Butch Sullivan, Ben Sullivan, Jeremy McGuire, Brenton McGuire, Lee Sullivan, Jordan Sullivan, JC Durham, and Robert Ward. Stay tuned for more updates! Summer ’23.

Turnberry Golf Course – Emergency Bridge Repairs

PROJECT: TURNBERRY GOLF COURSE – EMERGENCY BRIDGE REPAIRS

The Righter Company, Inc. was contacted by the City of Columbus to repair damages at Turnberry Golf Course. Their bridge that accesses the golf course had the abutments partially washed out causing the structure to shift. Work included driving piling next the existing super structure, installing a header beam at either end of the bridge, and setting the bridge on the piling. Rock channel protection was also installed for additional protection and prevent future washout. Mark Litter was the onsite foreman with help from Robert Ward, Pete Litter, Justin Adams, and Matt Mitchell. Jacobi Schmalenberger was the project manager. Summer ’23.

Hills Covered Bridge

PROJECT UPDATE: HILLS COVERED BRIDGE

Currently at the Hills Covered Bridge in Marietta, OH, Brandon Lowery and his crew, Clay Slevin, Dakota Lowery, and Rob Richmond, are working on the timber truss rehabilitation. 10 newly fabricated thrust blocks have been delivered to the project for incorporation into the timber truss rehabilitation. There are some additional timber truss members that have deteriorated to a condition that need to be replaced that were not previously anticipated. Progress is certainly being made and the truss rehabilitation will be completed this summer. Keep up the good work, guys! Summer ’23.

Urbana Booster Stations

PROJECT UPDATE: URBANA BOOSTER STATIONS

Progress is still being made for our Urbana Booster Stations project. The installation of 8″ ductile iron pipe at the Children’s Home site started last week.
