2019 Recipient of The Donald W. and David M. Righter Scholarship for Civil Engineering and Construction Management
Congratulations to Terry Johnson, the 2019 recipient of The Donald W. and David M. Righter Scholarship for Civil Engineering and Construction Management. The scholarship honors the late founders of The Righter Company, Donald W. Righter, and his son, David M. Righter.
A record $110,000 in scholarships were awarded to 48 students who are pursuing a two or four-year construction-related degree! Since 1959, the BX Scholarship Program has awarded nearly $1.5 million in awards to students seeking careers in construction-related fields.

Terry will be a Junior at The Ohio State University in the Fall and is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Systems Management. The Righter Company wishes Terry much success in his future endeavors!

Kickoff Held for CoGo Bikeshare Expansion
Bradley Nadolson, (L), Righter President, and Michael Killilea, (R), Righter Vice President, were among those in attendance at the kickoff and ribbon cutting held on May 14, 2019, to celebrate an expansion project that started Fall 2018. CoGo added 9 bike share stations to the existing Columbus CoGo system. The new Columbus stations were part of a 26 station expansion that inflated the CoGo Bike Share system from 46 stations to it’s current total of 72 stations and 600+ bikes. The Righter Company was excited to be part of this expansion.
CoGo Bike Share is designed to be a fun and convenient way to get around town. Join as a member or buy a 24-hr or 3 day pass. Bikes are available 24/7/365 within Columbus, Bexley, Grandview Heights, and Upper Arlington. Grab a bike from any station and re-dock at any other station near your destination. Take out a new bike as many times as you’d like!—with unlimited 30 minute trips. May is Military Appreciation Month
Declared by Congress in 1999, May was selected National Military Appreciation Month as a month-long observance honoring the sacrifices of the United States Armed Forces. Here at The Righter Company, we pause to recognize and appreciate our employees who have served as well as all men and women who have at one time or another made the commitment to serve their country and fellow Americans. Righter Receives Certificate from Safety Council of Greater Columbus
At the 2018-2019 Awards Banquet held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, The Righter Company was presented the following “100%” certificate for its effort in preventing accidents and injuries in the workplace. This kind of achievement is only possible through the continuous efforts of each and every Righter employee. When we work safely, everyone wins!
Get Out & Vote – Tuesday, May 7, 2019
For all residents of Columbus, Tuesday, May 7, 2019, is the day to get out and vote YES on Issues 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11. The passing of these issues will keep Columbus thriving with $1.03 billion for clean drinking water, safe neighborhoods, excellent parks, new roads and sidewalks and housing that’s affordable for working families, in a dozen parts of the City. It will NOT result in a tax increase so it’s a win-win for everyone! Don’t fly solo on Election Day. Encourage a friend, neighbor, co-worker or family member to join you when you vote YES for Issues 7, 8, 9 , 10 & 11!
